Chroma Fiber and Bead Tapestry Bracelet Kit by Ann Benson. Colors, color, and more color---more than a dozen different fibers are used in this stunning, eclectic bracelet. The design requires only two basic weaving stitches: simple over-under and soumak, an easy raised stitch that brings a wealth of texture despite its simplicity. Textured sections of variegated wool, silk, bamboo, rayon, linen and metallics are separated by perle cotton flat weaves, which are later decorated with gemstones, bugle beads, and seed beads. Closure is three round beads (amethyst, pearl or crystal by availability) with easy-to-operate woven buttonholes. There's a lot of room for experimentation; with such simple techniques and so many decoration options, you can express yourself wonderfully. Or you can make it exactly as shown, it's up to you. Sizable up to 8.5". the complete kit includes the variegated fibers, cotton fibers, Toho, Miyuki and Czech seed and bugle beads, genuine turquoise, amethyst and lemon jasper beads, warp thread, beading nylon, beading needles. Ann Benson's no-finish bead loom recommended but not included. NOTE: this kit does not include weaving needles, which artificially raise the price. Consider the weaving needles available on this Etsy site. Please note that very minor variations in fiber colors will happen because of dye lots, but will not affect the overall vibrant look of the bracelet.
